Feb 18, 2014

Dear Family,
I hope all is well where you all are. this week was rough, well it
sarted out great and ended rough. we had exchanges on tuesday and
right before we exchanged we had an amazing lesson with aaron our
baptismal date that was suppose to be for next Sunday, and then all
week things had been going great exchanges were amazing. we found a
new investigator, our lesson with michelle (our other baptismal date
that was set for march) went amazing she gave up coffee and smoking
and was reading the book of Mormon. we found lots of new potentials
and knocked lots of doors, we had a succesful valentines dinner where
we had aaron invlolved with helping out and then we learned that aaron
was on probation and suddenly everything started to fall apart. his
baptism date got set back to june of 2015 and michelle called us and
said that she had prayed about everything and that this just wasnt for
her. we couldnt believe it we had worked so extremely hard for days on
end and then boom, the dang adversary got a hold of a few of our
investigators. i just wanted to strangle him! But on a very good note,
aaron still came to chruch and when we broke the news to him that his
date was to be moved he told us that we did the math wrong and that
his probation in faact ends in december of this year. he said it
doesnt matter when he gets baptized he's still going to do everything
he needs to. he has changed so dramatically and hes doing it all on
his own and through the Gospel as well. But if you saw him before you
would have thought he had no hope, he was atheist and now believes in
god and turns to him everyday, its like seeing a miracle right in
front of my eyes. i really wish that when his baptism comes around
that i somehow get put back into this area or something! That was
basically the thing this week, was aaron. we will still be working
with him and gettin him on his way to a clean environment and a job
and continue to teach him. it will all be good, i m really excited for
him!! I dont want to leave this area just yet i feel like there is so
much to do here, im excited for the next three weeks as we turn to the
lord to find more elect people to teach like Aaron. well Sister
harrington is getting better, you can see it in her countenance, she
is able to walk around for a little while now and can talk and doesnt
sleep as much, im so happy that she is getting better. the branch
continues to look after us and we are constanly in one of their homes,
i absolutley love them all.i am doing well. Looking forward to zone
conference next week. More snow here today i thought we were getting
rid of it all.. apparently not. I love all of you and keep  you in my
prayers constantly.

Dear Family,
Honestly this was probably the busiest week i have had my entire
mission! we literally had a dinner every single night! and sometimes
lunch appointments too. we found three new investigators this week
that's higher than normal! we worked our little touches off this week
and it all paid off this Sunday. we went to go wake up an investigator
that was coming to church but as we drove up he walked out, we were
completely shocked, because we honestly weren't sure if he was talking
it at all seriously. he had steam coming from his head because he had
showered and blood on his chin from shaving that morning. he was in
his nicest clothes, and as he walked out i was once again felt like a
proud mother! i seriously wanted to start dancing right there in the
parking lot, i would have to if i didn't have my badge on, good thing,
eh? but we waited for his ride to show up, and he got ini the car and
we followed behind! he was the only investigator at Church as we were
expecting two to be there we were happy with just him being there! as
if that wasn't enough though three of the less active family's that we
visit showed up and the chapel was full this sunday it was amazing. we
spoke again the branch president called us saturday night becuase
someone else bailed, so we got to pick our topic and i literally hate
speaking in front of people i have realized i would rather sing in
front of people than speak and we all know how well i sing in front of
people, but it went well. it was a great week!! the only sad thing is
one of our members is sort of on her death bed, well thats what it
looks like she has gone into the hospital countless times and each
time comes back worse than before, just this morning she asked us to
sing her a hymn and it seemed to be the only thing to relieve her of
pain she feel asleep afterwards but shes been down for weeks now. if
you could all keep her in your prayers i and her family would
appreciate it, her name is Juanita Harrington. i worry for her, if she
passes i dont think i could stay in this area much longer. i will keep
little sophia in my prayers! i went to vist a farm last monday for
preparation day, and it reminded me of home a little, it was
definitely set up a lot different than ours but cows are still cows
right? ill send pictures. every thing is going extremly well here, and
it sounds like evryone continues to grow back home. i love you all!!

Dear Family,
What a week!!! We found a new investigator and we got two baptismal
dates, we'll see if they stick to them. i am so excited for the work
that is constantly moving forward here. So that older lady sister
whyte who lost her cat last week, ill send a picture of her today, but
she goes teaching with us almost all the time and normally never says
a word. yesterday we took her teaching and she spoke up almost the
entire time, and everything made sense!! She absolutely connected with
the investigator and honestly i think that why we have a baptismal
date because he listened to her explain things through her
experiences, it was amazing i felt like a proud mother every time she
spoke! I wish there was a key indicator for less acitves becuase we
had a less active come to church yesterday and got up and bore his
testimony, he said that we were the first members he has had in his
home for about 9 years, since he left his parents home. the thing that
is amazing is that he struggles with his sexuality and was so afraid
of coming to church and being the odd one out. he told us that he has
a testimony, reads his scriptures and ensigns on his phone, when we
went to see him he was listening to chruch music! He knows that what
he is doing is wrong and wants to change but he doesnt know how. so we
are helping him one step at time. first starting with church and
strengthing his testimony in the gospel. After chruch i asked him how
it went and he said he made a commitment with someone to be there
every week! i beamed on the inside when i heard him say that, and i
know that part of that beaming feeling wasnt all mine but Gods as
well. I am so grateful that our God is a loving God and accepts all
those who are willing to change and come unto him, that made my week!
i wish i could have experiences like that every day. the weather is
being tempermental up here, sun melt, freze warm snow, repeat. i am
staying warm though. Congrats amanda on the baby!! i am so sad to be
missing all the excitement with baby Sophia. I am glad that matt is
safe! I love you all and pray for you daily!!! Love Sister Hadley
