March 24, 2014

Dear Family,
This week was good! We didn't teach very much but we spent a lot of
our time finding, we haven't found anyone super interested yet but
this week we will!! we are so determined.
We saw Elder David A. Bednar and Elder Davies, Elder Foster,
and Elder Seldon on Saturday! The spirit in that chapel was so strong.
For weeks we prepared ourselves by reading talks and addresses given
by Elder Bednar about conversion and learning by faith, so most of
what we talked about was making our will the lords will and acting
instead of being acted upon. I thought that he was going to be a whole
lot more intimidating than what he was, but he had us all luaghing
more than once that meeting and he had us in tears by the end. There
was one point in the meeting when he asked us to ask questions instead
of just making comments. we were told to come prepared with questions
by our mission president but elder bednar told us to not ask those
questions,"toss them out" he said. he said this is prpobably the only
time in your life when you will get to ask an apostle of the lord and
two of the seventy and the presiding bishop a question, this will
never happen again, based on what you have been taught by the spirit
today what do you want to know? i had already stood up at the
beagining when sister bednar asked us what we like about our companion
so i didn't dare stand again to take away from anyone elses time or
chance. But i did have a question in the back of my head that i really
wanted to ask, this is where i learned that my heavenly father is very
aware of everything in our mind. i didn't pray for the question to be
answered, i just had it in my mind i truly wanted to know if an Elder
Bednar had personally seen God, and Jesus Christ. At the end Elder
Bednar bore his testimony and shared with all of us that he knew the
god head is three sepreate beings and that he is a witness of that
himself. at that exact moment i knew my heavenly father guided his
thoughts so i could receive my answer. of all the things Elder Bednar
could have testified of especially the direction our meeting went, his
testimony was an answer to my question. I am so grateful for Worthy
servants of the lord who guide and direct us today! i cannot wait for
General Conference i love hearing the words of the prophet and
apostle, this was honestly the best early birthday gift i could ever
ask for. I Hope all is going well back home! I love my companion she
keeps me on my toes and she is so positive all the time! We have our
work cut out for us but there isn't anything we cant do with the help
of our God! I LOVE YOU ALL!!  Let the Bean Grow!

Dear Family,
I will do an act of service today in memory of our little Carson. I
cant wait to see him again!
This week was insane, i had to lead out because my comp doesn't know
the area.... it honestly felt good at times, other times it was
stressful. Like when appointments would cancel and we have already
dropped by everyone and their dog! so we would just go talk to people
on the street, surprisingly i do a really good job talking to people
on the street with sister Ogden we make a sweet team! She approaches
them and starts the conversation I teach a simple truth we testify get
their numbers and put it on repeat.
Melanie moved her wedding date from august of next year to September
of this year!! we are so excited! Maybe ill still be in the area to
see her baptized, that would be awesome, either her or Aarons baptism
i would be happy to see one of them. But Melanie is doing great! Her
fiance Chris has been helping her and she has been helping him, its
amazing to see that as the two of them come closer to Christ they
become a stronger couple! Well other than helping sister Ogden get
acquainted with the area not too much has happened.
I am excited for this Saturday though because i will get to meet Elder
Bednar, Elder Davies and Elder Ochoa at least i think we will get to
shake their hand... maybe not but either way i get to see them in the
flesh, best early birthday gift ever!!
Sounds like Spencer did awesome! so excited to hear where he ends up!
i cant believe Emma remembers me, that's so cute mandi sent pictures,
they look like they were off of a baby magazine, too precious.
Michelle sent pictures of Hadley and brooks, that totally made my week
i am finally getting them off the computer now.
I cannot wait for it to warm up out here i am so sick of the cold,
its not that its too cold its just been cold for long enough, i want
to wear shoes that aren't boots dang it! I LOVE YOU ALL!!
Love Sister Hadley
ps here is a picture of sister ogden... we havent had time to get a
picture together yet so i told her to say "CHEESE"

Dear Family,
Sounds like tons is happening back there in the west. This week went
insanely fast! So much happened too! Sunday we had two investigators
at church. One was Aaron of course and the other was Melanie, with her
fiance Chris and kids. She doesn't have a baptismal date yet because
she has to get married first. But the branch invited them to dinner
and to activities that they were having with out us as missionaries
even asking them to it was amazing to see them do that. I think they
really liked church and Chris is a less active member so going to
church Sunday was a big step and it looked like he enjoyed it but we
will find out this week for sure! We also started teaching Aaron
little step brother Guyana, we aren't too sure how committed he is but
he continues to let us come back so it'll be fun to teach him!
Aaron is going to go back to college, never did he think he would everwant to do that but he is he's started applying!!! he ha changed so
much its amazing!!
Transfer calls came and i am staying in belleville which i am actually
fine with) But i am getting a new companion and although i will miss
sister Cross a ton, im excited for some change as well! It is going to
be a fantastic transfer i can feel it!! Spring should be here soon
too:) Well i guess it seemed like more of a busy week in my head
rather than it does in words. March 22 all the missionaries and i
think the church members im not sure are invited to hear From Elder
Bednar and Elder davies i believe. I am so excited, we were given three
of his talks to study and become very familiar with, and im just
excited to be in the same room as him and to feel the spirit he brings
first hand! i really hope everything works out that we get to be
there. if we are late or ill we were told not to come, they will find
different arrangements for us to stay in our areas.
If you havent already dont send anything to me to the Mission office
at least for this next 6 weeks  becuase i wont get anything this
transfer, mail hardly comes out this way. Send it to

My Dear family,
It was an interesting week.. we found a couple new investigators
through our very solid investigator Aaron. however these two new
investigators are under the influence of something all the time. and
this Saturday one of them got in a fight with some of the people
living in Aarons house and ended up having to go to the hospital, and
then Sunday aaron almost didnt come to church barbecue of the
situation and then through tons and tons of prayers aaron asked us if
we could help him get out of his house sooner than we were already
planning. so we will be moving him tonight into a new apartment with
one of the members, its gonna be so great that he will no longer be
around any of his old life friends. So that's part of the goods news.

the other part is we found this really cute family, the woman had
gotten on the branch Facebook page and asked for someone to talk to
her about the church so jumped on that! and apparently her fiance is a
less active member, and she really wants a family oriented religion
for her family(her two boys, fiance and her) she wants God back in her
life, and wants to teach her boys who God is. We are so excited to
teach her as well, and get him back to church.

its been a pretty good week here in belleville. we had a chili cook
off and desert auction in the branch i dont think i have ever been to
one of those it was pretty cool lots of less active members came out
and aaron went as well, it was a good turn out!

we had zone conference on friday and that was amazing! reminded me of
who i am and my purpose, i got to do lots of little role plays by
myself with another missionary and it made me feel really confident of
how i teach and lean on the spirit for guidance, those moments don't
come often so it was a nice feeling!
Colemans home? thats crazy! hopefully things turn around for him.
Sounds like things are getting busy around he farm, that'll be fun to
have gma and gpa at the house for a little while.
I love you all!!!!
Love sister Hadley
