June 16th, 2014

Dear Family,
MICHELE IS STILL ON SCHEDULE TO GET BAPTIZED SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!  I
could just sing it from the roof tops 24/7 but i think i would
embarrass my comp too much so i wont .. Apparently Michele told my
companion last week when she called to cancel her ride for church that
the reason her asthma was acting up was because she had been smoking
and she couldn't breathe.. she said she thought to her self what am i
doing, im suffocating myself i cant breathe so she decided to quite
right then and there, she threw the cigarette in her tin can and
walked inside and she hasn't smoked since:) And we didn't find out
till a whole 2 days later!  she is right on track, she will have her
interview on Friday, we are so excited!! Members came up to us and
asked if they could go teaching with us to her and that never
happens!! we always have to ask, it was so cool!!
We also received a bunch of referrals this week so we
spent time contacting them and we found one new investigator from it,
they are
the cutest older couple ever. The only problem is that they are not in
our branch boundaries, but the boundaries they live do not have
missionaries, so the district leader in our area and his companion
would be the ones to teach them but because his companion is sick they
cannot make the drive yet, so we have permission to teach, but when
they feel well and who knows when that will be, we could be told to
hand them over and that will be a sad day, complicated but it will all
be well for them. We are STILL looking for people teach as always.
The majority of the week was a bit slower due to the fact
that i got a bug and then passed it on to my companion and there was
now way we were going to just sit at home so we did our best without
passing the bug on to other people.
My discovery of the week...    Recently i have been reading
in the end of 3 nephi, 4 nephi and the beginning of Mormon, i never
understood or looked at those books and chapters they i did the last
few mornings, i find excitement to read about the time leading up to
Mormon and how much love there was for our god and how obedient the
people were and how they all lived n harmony and there wasn't a poor
or rich among them but they were all the same, and then a couple
hundred year laters or so a group of them decide to willfully rebel
against god.. could you imagine knowing the truth? knowing where you
belong? knowing how much god loves you and then just one day saying i
don't want this anymore i choose to live the way i want? and from then
on dragging other with you by your example, so not just destroying
your chance at salvation and exaltation but others as well? The part i
find incredibly touching is Mormon and his reaction to the wickedness
of the people, he wants so much to tell them of the truth to enlighten
their minds but has been commanded not to because God knows they will
not listen, and through all the years he stays true to his beliefs and
is forced to hold it in, how hard would that be? Then finally in the
great battle he lets out a crie to his fallen people, it just touched
my heart. I cant believe i missed this before, but i am so grateful
that i got to read it now and will again. I love The Book of Mormon,
and am so greateful for the examples of righteousness that the men and
woman in it have set before us, and because of that we have no excuse
to not follow them. I love you all and hope all is well!!!!
Love Sister HAdley
