I AM STAYING IN BELLEVILLE!!!!!! with my companion sister ogden,
yahooooooooo!! i am so excited so much is happening and happened this
week, we have just seen miracles from all the hard work we have been
putting in and i would have been so sad to leave it all.
First on Tuesday i went on exchanges and had an incredible experience
teaching and talking to people there. then as we were driving home we
had to call sister ogden and the other sister to confirm our meeting
spot and right before she hung up she said michele wants to be
baptized, you could imagine i almost peed my pants!!!!!! i wanted to
cry i was so happy and confused and i just wanted to be in belleville
and at micheles house ASAP! so i got there and sister ogden gives me
the whole story. Just after an appointment with on of our potentials
bombs, the phone starts to ring and it says, michele, so she yells at
the other sister and says i have to answer it, so she does.. and
michele says that she has a few questions could we come over, and she
said we'll be there in ten minutes, so they went over and apparently
she hadn't been thinking about church the last three weeks hardly at
all, and as sad as we were we didnt feel like we should call her or
anything until June 2 because she wanted us over for dinner that day,
but the last three days leading up to Tuesday she felt this HUGE push
from heavenly father, telling her she needs to be a part of the
church. SO on Friday she picked out a quit smoking date for the 16th
of June and she will be baptized on the 22nd!!!:)
Then on wednesday aaron gave us an address of another one of his
sisters and told us to go talk to her so we did, and because we did we
will be seeing her this week, hopefully it goes well!! Then we also
received potentials of our own from talking to people that hardly
happens, most of them just take the card and keep walking but we are
so excited to see if any of them are truly ready to learn!
Then Thursday was our skills and interview day and guess what?? I sang
a solo! In front of people and before hand we went to this really rich
family's house who is like super musically inclined and those that were
listening said i had a beautiful voice i think that gave me the help i
needed not to choke in front of the missionaries. But it was an
incredible experience becuase the reason i like to sing, is to feel
the love in the music, and ive notice that its only when i can feel
the spirit when i sing that i actually do well, if i try to do well to
do well i fail. But that day i could feel so strongly the love from my
heavenly father as i sang dearest children god is near you, oh man i
wish you could have all been there it was incredible. but the training
went well too haha and it was my last interview with my mission
president because he goes home july 1st, and president clayton will be
coming in. thats probably when i will leave this place.
saturday we were allowed to go to the adult session of branch
conference and it was so different, the mission president is the one
who spoke and there was hardly any people.
Sunday was the oddest, but coolest experience of conference ever, So
in a branch conference we heard from elder holland, elder eyring and a
man from the seventy, and sister linda k burton. It was broadcasted
from salt lake to all the Canadian branches that day, and we just
watched it in our chapel. pretty incredible. They spoke on coming to
Christ and faith in eternal family's, and remembering who we are. i
didnt bring my quote book with me other wise i would have quoted
them, my apologies..
and then today we are going to picton again( we went last week with
sister harrington) but this time with a less active family that wants
to take us to the sand dunes.should be a nice preparation day.
There is so much more that has been happening that my brain cant even
recollect, all i can say is its not until you give your all that the
lord gives a little, because our all isn't really our all and his
little is actually a lot!
patrick i am so sad to miss your tennis matches but boy it sounds like
you are doing well, you'll get em next year:) sharia i cant believe
you finished the Book of Mormon, i just about jumped out of my seat,
thats incredible! Tell citlali that i am so jealous she has the
opportunity to go out with the sisters thats some good training right
there! and she will love it in utah!!
